The Association

Our tasks:

  • Promoting and representing the interests of our members, specifically through:
    • Regular information and advice
    • Representing common interests in relation to authorities and institutions
    • Promoting cooperation between members themselves and with external parties

We offer:

  • Involvement in the drafting of new regulations and directives at national and EU level.
  • Work and representation in numerous bodies in the food industry, in wholesale and foreign trade and on various committees.
  • Member of the European Egg, Poultry and Game Association – EPEGA.

We want:

  • Uniform framework conditions in the trade and marketing of eggs and egg products
  • Collaboration with the relevant wholesale and foreign trade organisations of the European Union and trading partners in other countries
  • Removal of national and international trade barriers
  • Easing of the movement of goods within the Community
  • Reduction of cross-border trade restrictions
  • Greater transparency in directives and regulations

Membership:

    The following can apply for membership of the Association:

  • as ordinary members, persons, companies and enterprises in egg commerce who trade in eggs and egg products as well as associated products, or who market or process eggs in other ways in the Federal Republic of Germany;
  • groupings of relevant companies at a regional level (regional associations in egg commerce)
  • national associations of specialist firms at the level of European states (national associations in egg commerce and the egg product trade);
  • as supporting members, persons from Germany and abroad, companies in the industry or the associated food trade whose interests are to be represented in Germany by the EEC, as well as natural and legal persons who wish to support the endeavours of the EEC as supporting members.
